Liberations Prep, St Edmunds and Team Posse show out in Prephoopers…

As a warm up to high school pre season prephoopers.com got the ball rolling by bringing in a few teams as well as college coaches and evaluators to the Generation X gymnasium in Westbury Long Island on Saturday September 10th.
Liberations Prep came out and set the tone early against Christo Rey high school. Coach Jake Edwards now leads the charge for Liberations Prep. Early on Liberations proved they were definitely a force to be reckon with. However Team Posse with 2019 prospect Kofi Cockburn, Woodmere Academy ‘s best kept secret 6’2 combo guard Kendall Ogilvie and 6’8 forward Khaled Moore matched liberations aggressiveness early in the first half. Kendall Ogilvie a true sophomore who played for expressions elite this summer proved to be to physical for the Liberation guards. Kofi Cockburn definitely was a problem in the box where he displayed much improved footwork and drop steps on the liberations frontline. Khaled Moore  was also a match up night mare as he scored at will for team posse on isolation plays or of high screens set by Kofi Cockburn. Team Posse edged Liberations by a score of 74 to 70. Next contest featured St Edmunds vs Team Posse. St Edmunds led by 6’5, 2017 guard Jordan Williams went 2-0 throughout the event. St Edmunds defeated team Posse and the Broncos in back to back contest. Jordan Williams wowed college coaches with his ability to find the open man with limited turnovers. Jordan Williams basketball  IQ was definitely on display along with his athleticism at the fall showcase. St Edmunds defeated Team Posse by a score of 64 to 59 and then they defeated the Broncos by a score of 58 to 54. The Broncos displayed a lot of underclassmen talent. They went 1-2 for the day with a win over Christo Rey. Christopher Jean and Cameron Shields 2020 were impressive for the Broncos providing steady back court play in both games. Dashawn Anthony 6’7 forward  was also solid on the glass and  finished at a high level for the Broncos.
